However, Hitti's knowledge is also unreliable. He is a citizen of Iraq and since Iraq has had a role in invading Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war, his knowledge on the matter might be supporting and defending his country. Furthermore, his knowledge is, like Shawaf, obtained from history books, stories passed down and the lessons they learnt in school which might be biased towards Iraq. Coupled with the fact that he had no first hand knowledge of the war and did not experience it, this makes Hitti's information unreliable

Since both sources are unreliable, it is difficult to say who is right and who is wrong and therefore, what shawl says cannot prove that Hitti is wrong to a small extent
