Adab is important to ensure we have "barakah" in every knowledge we get.

- As a student, we must keep seeking every beneficial knowledge in everything we do because Allah has say in Surah Al Mulk verses 15 with the meaning, "It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection."

Manners with Al Quran

- As a Muslim also, we must have adab with the Quran as the holy "Kalamullah" (words of Allah). At least read one ayah or verse a day as it will be rewarded with great reward (pahala). Can you imagine we will get 10 reward only for ONE WORD or "harf" ! Such a big reward from Allah.

📖 Reasons & Sources of ʿIbādah in the Qur’an

This week we learn about Ibadah that stated in Quran

📌 Why Do We Worship?
Every command in Islam has hikmah and benefit, both in this world and the hereafter. These Qur’anic verses show the wisdom behind core acts of worship:

🕌 1. Solat: Moral Guardrail
“Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing…” (Al-‘Ankabūt, 29:45)
Solat keeps us grounded. With khushuʿ, it protects from sin, revives the heart, and reminds us of Allah—our daily moral compass.

🌙 2. Fasting: Building Taqwa
“Fasting is prescribed… that you may become of those who have taqwa.” (Al-Baqarah, 2:183)
Fasting trains taqwa, self-control, and empathy. It’s a spiritual and physical detox.
“Whoever fasts Ramadan out of faith… his past sins will be forgiven.” (Bukhari & Muslim)

💰 3. Zakat: Purifying Wealth & Heart
“Take from their wealth a charity… to purify them…” (At-Tawbah, 9:103)
Zakat purifies our heart from greed. It’s a reminder that wealth is a trust from Allah and supports the ummah.

🕋 4. Hajj: Journey to Taqwa
“Take provisions, but the best provision is taqwa…” (Al-Baqarah, 2:197)
Hajj strips away worldly labels. It reconnects us with prophetic footsteps and deepens submission.
“Whoever performs Hajj… will return as a newborn (free from sins).” (Bukhari & Muslim)

🌟 Conclusion: Worship Transforms
Each act of ʿibādah—daily or once in a lifetime—brings us closer to Allah and makes us people of taqwa, mercy, and wisdom.
“The most honored of you… is the one with the most taqwa.” (Al-Hujurat, 49:13)

🧕🏻 The Virtues Found in Ṣalāh with Khushūʿ

📌 Spiritual Qualities Cultivated Through Focused Prayer
🎙 Reflection from Sūrah Luqmān (31:12–19)

This week, we explored how Ṣalāh with khushūʿ develops core virtues that shape our lives beyond the prayer mat. Luqmān’s advice to his son reflects these values, emphasizing wisdom, patience, and God-consciousness.

🌿 1. Al-Ṭāʿah (Submission to Allah)
Just as Luqmān begins with gratitude to Allah, Ṣalāh teaches loyalty and obedience, showing our humility and trust in His commands.

🔥 2. Al-Jihād (Struggle for Allah)
Luqmān advises perseverance in prayer—this mirrors the internal struggle for khushūʿ: staying consistent, focused, and spiritually present.

🪞 3. Muḥāsabah (Self-Reflection)
“Even an atom’s weight of deed will be brought forth” (v.16). Khushūʿ leads us to self-evaluate, purify intentions, and stay accountable.

🚫 4. ʿIffah (Modesty & Restraint)
Luqmān warns against pride (v.18). Prayer nurtures modesty—when we stand before Allah, we guard our actions, words, and thoughts.

🌾 5. Tawaḍḍuʿ (Humility)
“Walk humbly and lower your voice” (v.19). True khushūʿ means coming to prayer with brokenness, knowing we are low before the Most High.

✨ Hikmah:
Sūrah Luqmān reinforces the virtues developed through Ṣalāh with khushūʿ—gratitude, patience, humility, and self-awareness. Prayer is not just an act, but a path to transformation and closeness to Allah.

👥 Usrah Reflection & Poster Activity
We shared personal experiences on applying Luqmān’s wisdom through khushūʿ and created posters highlighting each virtue—reminding us of the character Islam builds: humble, grateful, and God-conscious.

The Concept of Ṣawm
“Fasting is prescribed for you… that you may attain taqwa.” (2:183)
Fasting is an ancient practice meant to build taqwa—awareness of Allah.

🕋 Reflections on Ḥajj and Taḍḥiyyah

📌 From Sūrah al-Baqarah (2:195–204)

This week’s usrah centered on verses from Surah al-Baqarah that guide us through the spiritual essence of Ḥajj and the value of Taḍḥiyyah (Sacrifice). These ayāt call us to reflect on the purpose behind rituals, and how they lead to spiritual growth and God-consciousness.

🕋 1. The Relation Between Taḍḥiyyah (Sacrifice) and Ḥajj

Ḥajj is not just a physical journey it is a symbol of sacrifice. From wealth, time, and comfort to ego and pride, the pilgrim gives up all for Allah’s sake. Taḍḥiyyah is deeply embedded in Ḥajj rituals, such as the animal sacrifice on Eid al-Adha, which recalls the devotion of Prophet Ibrāhīm عليه السلام. It teaches submission, obedience, and sincere love for Allah.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“The best of deeds is the prayer at its earliest time and kindness to parents.”

— [Sahih Muslim]

Reflecting on sacrifice, we learn:

“Sacrifice brings us closer to Allah by purifying our hearts from attachment.”

🌙 2. The Way to Gain Taqwā Through Ḥajj

“Take provisions, but the best provision is taqwā…” (2:197)

Ḥajj teaches discipline, humility, and devotion, drawing the heart closer to Allah. By standing in ‘Arafah, circling the Kaʿbah, and performing each rite with sincerity, the pilgrim detaches from dunya and embraces full reliance on Allah. These experiences instill taqwā a constant awareness of Allah in every aspect of life.

The Prophet ﷺ also said:

“Whoever performs Hajj and does not commit any obscenity or wrongdoing will return as a newborn child (free from sins).”

— [Bukhari & Muslim]

🎭 3. Ḥajj Simulation The simulation included key rites such as:

Iḥrām – Entering the sacred state of worship with intention and purity.

Ṭawāf – Circling the Kaʿbah, signifying unity and submission to Allah.

Saʿī – Running between Ṣafā and Marwah, emulating Hājar’s perseverance.

Wuquf – Standing at ‘Arafah in supplication and self-reflection.

Stoning (Jamrah) – Rejecting the whispers of Shayṭān and reaffirming obedience.

Mabīt – Overnight stays in Mina and Muzdalifah, fostering reflection and simplicity.

Taḥallul –Completing rites and exiting the state of iḥrām, symbolizing purification.

🌟 Hikmah (Wisdom):

Ḥajj is a lifetime opportunity to renew one’s soul. Every step whether walking, waiting, or praying will strips away pride and awakens humility. The journey symbolizes detachment from worldly labels and a return to the essence of servitude. It cultivates taqwā, teaches taḍḥiyyah, and reflects the unity and equality of the ummah before Allah.

I hope that usrah could involved sharing knowledges about the basic ibadah like how to take wudhu properly and showing simulator about tayammum. Because not everyone realised or know wether the ibadah they did were perfect or not. And sometime they will not take the initiatives to learn to improve however they might listen during usrah time
