We began our day with a lecture so that we had some background knowledge about Malaria before we moved onto some experiments. During the lecture, we gained knowledge about how Malaria transmits through its host (the mosquito) and us humans. We also learnt about the symptoms of Malaria and how to decrease the risk of getting the disease. 
After a short break, we moved into a laboratory to conduct experiments on how to diagnose someone with Malaria. We went through two methods that pathologists commence in order to find the parasite and therefore diagnose someone with Malaria.
