It was quite challenging for those of the other classes to gain more wealth and power. This was because education and resources were short of availability for them, so their social and economic status was difficult for them to improve. 

As more products, other than basic needs like food and clothing, were being made and sold, people would spend their money on unnecessary items (“AP World History Unit).

The middle class had an impact on industrialization. The service industry produced more goods and were able to provide newer and more services to consumers, changing every day life. (“AP World History Unit).

Women in the industrial age were dependent on their social class. The working class women were paid much less than men and were stressed with their working environment. So some women talked to the British parliament about it (“AP World History Unit). 

The working-class women were supposed to stay at home to do house work and take care of the children. This was called the "cult of domesticity." This shaped the social norms and expectations of women in the industrial age, but as feminism began to rise, women were slowly getting out of the "cult of domesticity," being able to participate out in public (“AP World History Unit).

In the industrialization age, many farmers moved to the city to work in factories. This led to heavily populated areas that were polluted and prone to diseases. Poor working-class families lived under poor conditions with lack of clean water, sewage systems, and basic needs (“AP World History Unit).

One of the major impacts that happened in the industrial revolution was pollution from growing factories and the heavy industry. Pollution had a negative impact on Earth and the life in it. As the air became more polluted, more carbon dioxide was released into the air causing climate change (“AP World History Unit).

The overconsumption of natural resources like coal and oil, destroyed natural habitats and released great amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere causing global warming (“AP World History Unit).
