I know that when the children were taken they were robbed of their family, culture, and heritage. They have also placed in homes/missions an example of one is The Boys home and Girls home in New South Wales. There names where changed and they weren't aloud to speak there language . Robbing there identity. They also took kids that were mixed like if they had a aboriginal mum and a white dad or vis versa because to them they thought that because they had some white in them that they can get ''turned around'. (we learnt that in Y4 but I don't know if this is entirely true)The whole reason that they took the kids is because they thought that because aboriginal people had a different way of living they thought that they could not look after the kids.
I would like to find out if many of the kids that got stolen were reunited with their family.

I think Ugle-Hagan made a huge difference against racism since only one or two people in history have ever stood up for themselves and their people. Nicky Winmar was the first person to stand up, and since he's taken that first step, it will urge others facing racial abuse to stand up for themselves and tell the abusers to back off. Personally, I don't think racism will ever go away, but we can lessen the chances of it happening massively if more people like Nicky Winmar and Ugle-Hagan go out into the real world and tell people what footy and racial abuse is all about. Will racism ever end?

I personally think Ugle-Hagan made a huge difference in the sporting community and definitely changed people's perspectives quite a bit. I think what he did was a really good thing because after all he just wanted to play footy but because people were being racist he had to stand up to that. I believe that the footy field is a very effective place to make a stand. I know that Nicky Winmar, Jammara Ugle Hagan and more all experience racism and it is not okay. Nicky wimmar was someone that made a difference because he was the person that gave gammara the courage to stand up and I'm sure he will influence more young players from there stand. Jammara who stated "'im just a boy who wants to play football' stating that he never wanted to make a stand he never wanted to be racially abused. Like we always say never judge a book by its cover.
