Some popular artists associated with Motown are Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, Diana Ross (solo) and The Temptations. Two influences of Motown are the Brill Building's production model, and soul music. Some instruments you will hear in a generic Motown song are piano, drums, guitar, and saxophones. Notable information about Motown's songwriters is that they are framed after the Brill Buildingś style of songwriting, in that they are a team of people who come up with the songs, the Motown songwriters' names were Smokey Robinson and Mickey Stevenson.
