The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see Nature all ridicule and deformity, and some scarce see Nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, Nature is Imagination itself. (William Blake)

Creativity is joining two dots that do not have obvious links :) Looking into nature we can find the most wonderful creations and abundant inspiration. Let your mind be calm and let the nature guide you to find the links!

Today we visited the rainforest in Chute de Carbet.

Forest is a complex ecosystem that has a great impact on the environment. It represents a habitat for many plant and animal species. It has a great impact on the near and far surroundings.

Visiting the forest always relaxes me and fills me with new energy and ideas. Again, this was no different.

Through a variety of activities, we can impart knowledge of environmental care to children, but the most important is to take children to the forest, to show them by their own example how to handle it, and to give them the opportunity to love it. As a result, they will also take good care of him.

I learnt that the nature can be contra-productive. If the waterfall has a soul, I do not think it wanted Columbus to invade the island and colonize it. It was the sight of the waterfall that made Columbus take the decision to get some fresh water by entering the island. What would these island look like without these visitors?

Walking in the rain forest, seeing and hearing the water is very refreshing for the soul. Even though it is hard for us to visit rain forests in our home countries there are possibilities to hike in other forests and to listen to rivers.

The birds know where to fly, the grass can grow, the spring finds its way out of the darkness, the birds can lean in the wind, the forests know how to tremble and the rocks stand solid.

With the visit of the nature reserve on "Basse Terre", and a stopover in the production of manioc flour, I have become aware of two things today.
The variety of our food, especially the vegetables, is much larger than we actually use it in our everyday lives. With regard to useful alternatives to meat and animal products, manioc can be used in many ways and this supports the approach of a vegan diet. It is by no means something new, but rather a long-established tradition.

Here, too, as teachers, we have the opportunity, as multipliers, to pass on this knowledge to our students and to show them very tasty and healthier alternatives to fast food and to try out together with them, so that this form of food is not lost. The idea of eating less meat and animal products will be more important in the future.

In the jungle I have learned that different plants coexist and enter into a so-called coexistence. Sometimes some plants die, while others benefit. Although this is a pity for the plant, it has released its seeds and will survive. At this point I found the comparison between this idea with culture and language particularly exciting. Different cultures and languages also enter into these co-existences and sometimes some of it is lost, but the benefit of that is much more diversity, that otherwise would not exist. Therefore, different cultures are necessarily a win, and if they preserve their traditions, much can evolve and change.

Therefore, a multicultural class is a great enrichment to all, and it is up to us, to teach this to our students.
