During the industrial Revolution adults and children worked in hazardous workplaces in order to make a living. It was typical for people to work for about more than 16 hours a day minimum pay. Pay was extremely low that families even needed their own children to help out. Also, these workers had little to no rights when working in these industrial jobs. Even when children and adults have gotten injured on the job they still were treated with less respect and suffered on the job until they could not work anymore.

Harlem Renaissance & Woman's suffrage were two examples of social positives. They impacted many lives in multiple ways and culturally also. The 19th and 21st amendment also brought a positive impact because it allowed woman to finally have their own voice being heard. Consumerism and advertising was also a big positive during the 1920's. They influenced people to buy stuff they liked and advertise freely.

The Robber barons took advantage of people and some resulted in people having to either tax money to them or pay for something in order to pass through. The Captains of Industry though were the ones who benefitted people instead. They stole from people constantly and only wanted money. They also controlled goods and services. The COI though, had creative people like Jeff Baos who created amazon helping instead of hurting people.
