This painting is beautiful! I like the subtle browns you used on the lantern's base and how it contrasts with the yellow light coming from inside. The perspective on the background is perfect. I like how you made a base for the wall that makes it look like the lantern in tucked away in the corner, and gives the background a bit of life to it. Two things that would have improved this painting would be to give the background a bit of a yellow glow, as it would reflect the light coming from the lantern, and to also give the wooden parts a bit more texture.
