         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><blockquote><p> "Yes, and no,  and you all get As or Fs, and there is no test and you all failed it and you all get As.  Who cares? "  </p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p>Educators when faced with change may feel very similar to how this educator, Chidi Anagonye, feels in the show The Good Place.  Here we see Chidi going through crisis because he is facing a change. Chidi doesn't do well with change.  Often when faced with change it shakes our foundation of what we know.  It can give us fear and confusion as we try to reconfigure things now.  </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>"I've been having a hard time adjusting"</p><p>"I just wanted you to know<br>That this is me trying"</p><p><br></p><p>"They told me all of my cages were mental<br>So I got wasted like all my potential"</p><p><br></p><p>"I have a lot of regrets about that<br>I was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere<br>Fell behind on my classmates, and I ended up here"</p><p><br></p><p>The lyrics above show how a student might feel when they struggle with change. It also shows how they need to be supported. Often times when students act out or shut down the behavior might be seen as disrespect. When it could be the student "trying" and "having a hard time adjusting."</p><p><br>"They told me all of my cages were mental<br>So I got wasted like all my potential"</p><p><br></p><p>The idea of change can put mental cages on students or educators  helping students work through these mental cages is needed so they don't fall behind their classmates.  </p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>

Then we see each character change how they view the obstacle in front of them.  They innovate their thought process to achieve their goal.  Growth looking differently in each case but achieving their goal by changing in their mindset. </p>]]></description>

It can better connect you to your coworkers and could help you see things from a different perspective.  For example, Gregory learns why his students keep asking if the turkeys are pregnant.  It's something he didn't think about and his fellow co-workers explain why its an important question that he shouldn't just dismiss.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<blockquote><p>Change isn’t something that comes with a checklist.</p></blockquote><p><br/></p><p>Change will not be the same everywhere or in every situation.  Change can be technology for example when the current school I"m working at switched computer systems to Powerschool.  Leaving teachers struggling to figure out how to enter grades and write referrals in this new system.   </p><p>It could be learning new strategies to help students succeed in class.  It could be a curriculum change that shortens the amount of time you have for an area of study.  </p><p>Change will not look the same everywhere. It will depend on age group of students, demographics, accessibility and accommodations.  Ultimately it is about creating something better than there was before.  </p>]]></description>
