I used this picture because it shows what the dreams of the family house was supposed to be but it never happened. The dad Rex Walls was a very handy man and had big plans for building his family a big home and called the blue prints the glass castle which he never get to complete which broke promises he made to the kids because he would tell them how they were gonna live in the best house ever.

I used this picture because the mom never really fit in as a normal mother because she was always caring about herself and not others. “Why do I always have to be the one who earns the money?” Mom asked. “You have a job. You can earn money. Lori can earn money, too. I’ve got more important things to do.” The mother Rosemary Walls always had better things to at least that what she believed she rather have spent her time painting then to be taking care of her kids which makes he different than most parents. To be a parent you most make sacrifices and do whats most important.

Forgiveness

I used this picture as a symbol of forgiveness because it show Jeanette with her mother helping her which says she doesn't hate her mother for the things that have happened. One of the most important themes in the book is forgiveness. People make some mistakes in many situations in their lives, by forgiving them you make yourself free of your anger, judgments and your bitterness. Jeannette and her brother and sisters are almost always forgiving their irresponsible parents. By forgiving the parents they open the way to love them.

Unconditional Love

Unconditional love could be a lot of things so I used this photo of the family because they all love each other. But they are all neglected by their parents and never giving the right parenting for example they mom wouldn't feed them nor would she care for them because she let them do what ever they wanted. This to me is conditional love because the parents never took fully responsibility in caring for their kids. “I swear, honey, there are times when I think you’re the only one around who still has faith in me,” [Dad] said. “I don’t know what I’d do if you ever lost it.” I told him that I would never lose faith in him. And I promised myself I never would. Jeannette always loved her father and supported him.

"Mom says I'm mature for my age," I told them, "and she lets me cook for myself a lot." I used this picture because it shows Jeannette walls coming of age and also its good because it shows how mature Jeannette is for being able to come so far from being three years old cooking hot dogs on a stove by herself to being a journalist In a office. This shows a lot about Jeannette's identity shows how shes a strong women and very independent.

This picture is a perfect example of Jeannette Walls being self sufficient because she now lives in her own home and supports herself.
“You want to help me change my life?” Mom asked. “I’m fine. You’re the one who needs help. Your values are all confused.” this one of the quotes Jeannette told her mother this to me shows Jeannette is able to take care of herself and wants to help her mother out.
