I've been fortunate to have worked in the Early Learning field for over 25 years starting as a Pre-School Teacher many moons ago. I also spent 18 years at the Local Head Start Grantee, teaching, managing, and providing technical assistance and training (T/TA) in our local community. For the last 7 years, I have worked as a Project Specialist for the Sacramento County Office of Education, wearing many hats - one of those serving as the CPIN Region 3 Lead.

Once I enroll in a session, what happens?

A couple of days out from the training session date/time, you will receive a Padlet and Zoom link to access the training.  The Padlet will have all of the handouts, readings, videos, and resources for the session you are attending.  

Why can’t I register for a training session the day or two before?

CPIN closes registration two days prior to the advertised date of the training if the training is full.  Enrolled participants are emailed information to access and prepare for the professional development session.   

When am I considered late to a professional development session?

State CPIN has updated their attendance requirements and any participant accessing training 15 minutes after the start of the session won’t be given credit.  Please see the event notes in the Workforce Registry for session details.  

Why am I not receiving credit for a professional development session that I attended?  

If you are not receiving credit it may be because you did not attend the full session or the full series. Credit is only given for full attendance. If you feel you attended the full session or series and did not receive credit, please contact us at cpinregion3@scoe.net.

After you complete a CPIN session/series, your professional development hours will be available in the SCOE Professional Learning Registration System one week after the session/end of series.  

CPIN Region 3 does not provide attendance certificates. Participants will need to access their attendance certificate in the SCOE Professional Learning Registration System. Please plan accordingly.
