2- Taking those meanings and the words that students don´t know in flashcards, so they can play a memory game (Teacher can use platforms like Educaplay or Interacty)

3- After the activity is finished, teacher asks students for words they remember and create a sentence under the topic from the unit to check if they understood the right meaning!

4- If they have a mistake or an incorrect use of the word, teacher can correct at the moment with more examples!

1. Group students (depending on size from 3 to 6 groups).

2. Have students read their segments and do a little research on their assigned topics.

Post activity:

In groups, students create a poster giving advice different from the reading, to improve memory skills and then they share a tiny activity related to that (like a puzzle, crosswords, finding elements...)

After watching the posters, they can evaluate which poster was the most useful and why.

Objective: To read for specific information, summarize it in simple terms, and propose practical applications.

Task Type: Jigsaw Reading & Collaborative Speaking

Preparation:

1. Divide the text into four sections. For A2 students, keep the sections manageable.

   • Group A (Lifestyle): Tips 3 (Exercise) & 4 (Relaxation)

   • Group B (Food & Drink): Tips 1 (Food) & 2 (Drink)

   • Group C (Health & Rest): Tips 5 (Weight) & 6 (Sleep)

   • Group D (Brain Training): Tip 7 (Use)

   • (Note: The introduction can be read by all groups or summarized by the teacher.)

2. Prepare an "Expert Card" for each group (see templates below). You can print these or write them on the board.

Activity Procedure:

1. Divide & Explain: Divide students into four "Expert Groups" (A, B, C, D). Explain: "Each group will become an expert on two tips for improving memory. You will read your tips together and prepare to teach them to other students."

2. Expert Group Work: Give each group their corresponding section of the text and their "Expert Card." Give them 10-12 minutes to complete the tasks on the card together. Circulate to help with vocabulary and ideas.

3. Re-group & Share: Form new groups with at least one "expert" from A, B, C, and D in each. In these new groups, each expert takes a turn to:

   • Explain their tips in their own words.

   • Share their group's ideas for real-life application.

2. Use the bold vocabulary words to create sentences with tips that we should follow to have a healthy memory, and how to include those practices into our daily life.

First, students have a couple of questions they answer (take notes) while listening to the audio.

1. What do you think Salome will answer when the interviewer asked the question: Have you had a bad experience when traveling? Why? (Individual)

2. What do you think (in pairs) Salome will answer: Has it changed the way you do things when you travel?

Then, they check their predictions.
