The climate in Taiwan is very hot and humid. Some benefits of the climate is because of the temperature Taiwan has more than 30 types of food. So they are known as the "kingdom of fruits." Taiwan has tropical fruits, subtropical fruits, temperate fruits. The drawbacks of this climate is that it is very rainy, so a season that rains a lot could lead to floods. Also, Taiwan rains very often because the wind have a lot of moisture from the Taiwan Straits.

Some important natural resources in Taiwan are, coal, marble, and natural gas. Coal is very important because it is used for fuel to generate power. A benefit is that coal could be exported to make profit and money. Furthermore, some drawbacks are that coal could pollute the environment. Currently, coal is currently providing 36% of the global electricity. Marble is used to build buildings and furniture. Marble provide beautiful looks to furniture and building. They can be sold for a high price for profit. Though, marble is known to be heavy, so transportation might be a little harder than other objects. Lastly, the natural gas is used for generating energy and also heating. Natural gas is nonrenewable, which is limiting the amount Taiwan can use. All in all, Taiwan does not have a lot of natural resources, so they have to import resources such as more coal.

An important landform in Taiwan is the Central Mountain Range. This landform is very important because it helps blocks and weakens the typhoons that occur quite often. The Jade Mountain is around 4000 meters high, which ranks among the highest in Southeast Asia. This mountain is so high it blocks the typhoons. The Central Mountain Range is often known as the backbone of Taiwan. If the Central Mountain Range was not here, many cities would be hit by strong typhoons that could cause significant damage.

Overall, the geography has effected Taiwan in a positive and negative way. Talking about the climate, Taiwan is very hot and humid, so it might not be too comfortable. Also, there are typhoons sometimes, but luckily the Central Mountain Range help weaken them. Taiwan is good at trading, even though Taiwan is so small, they are the 16th largest merchandise importer in the world. Taiwan has a important natural resources, coal, which is used as fuel to generate power. Furthermore, Taiwan has a lot of airports in the country, so many people will be able to go to Taiwan. Taiwan has 15 sea ports so trading is not bad.
