The Olduvai gorge has helped us discover several things about both human history and evolution up to several millions of years in the past. For example, just the sheer amount of fossils in Tanzania and surrounding areas can tell us that humans mainly evolved in the Africa area. The Olduvai gorge has found several skulls and human fossils to tell us about the evolutionary history of our ancestors.
Things like stone tools and the shape of their skulls can tell us about early intelligent life as well as determining the original hominids that humanity has evolved from.

Several dinosaur fossils have been both found and completed in museums across Tanzania, with 8 of them being the most common across the country. One of these dinosaurs is though to be the Brachiosaurus, a long necked herbivorous dinosaur that ate the leaves off of tall trees. A brachiosaurus fossil found in 1914 Tanzania is now proudly displayed at Naturkunde Museum in Berlin as the opening attraction.
