This shows the immense importance that the kindness of the Americans was for Dumas’s family. The Americans who were open to learning of Foroozeh’s culture also shared their own American culture. This made Firoozeh enjoy her experience in America greatly and helped educate Americans. They asked questions with kindness, helped Firooseh's family whenever they could, and were very tearful when they had to part. Even though the Americans were ignorant and uneducated about other parts of the world, the kindness they showed made up for it.
