However, all but one of the responses fell into the age range 15-18. Therefore, I will have to take into consideration that not all of my intended audience will have had a say in the making of my media products. It will give my some flexibility when creating the trailer for my film as I will have to include things that I think the other age group of 19-25 will enjoy. 16 of the participants were female whilst the remaining 7 were male which tells me that I will be aiming my narrative at a more female audience. Five said that they watched thriller films once a week. This data shows me that thriller films are quite popular with my intended audience which means that my intended audience will likely watch a thriller film that I produce. This may support the Hypodermic needle model theory that the audience can be manipulated as the whole idea of a plot twist is leading the audience in one direction before taking them in a completely different direction that they wouldn't have seen coming. I think it would be a good idea to include a plot twist in order to keep the audience entertained and 'on their toes'. The responses also said that they would like to see the characters involved in a dangerous situation which is usually expected in a thriller film. The audience also would expect violent scenes and a build up of suspense.
