What I learned about Theresa Caputo that surprised me the most was all of the criticism surrounding her. I had no idea about all of the people speaking out against her. Before doing this project I had watched her show many times but I had never researched her any further than that. Her television show is obviously made in a way to showcase her talent and make her look authentic, so that is the only version of her I had known.
2. Theresa Caputo is interesting to me because I enjoy watching her show. I get chills as I watch her read people. I have also sought out mediums for readings and unfortunately I have never experienced anything close to what I have seen Theresa Caputo do on her show.
3.The research that I found the most interesting was the interview I posted of Theresa on Access Live.  Hearing her explain her process of how she speaks to spirit and how spirit speaks through her for readings was very fascinating to me. She seemed so natural and authentic during the interview as well, which made it seem extremely believable. Which of course speaks to her being an entertainer as well.
4. I am most likely going to remember the video debunking the cold reading techniques most. Anytime I watch her show or any other psychic do a reading I will think of the different methods that are being used that were explained in the video. That video definitely made me more skeptical of mediums.
5. I believe the all natural pseudoscience to be the most harmful. I feel like right now using products that are "all natural" or "plant based" is extremely trendy. Everywhere on my social media I see someone promoting oils, skincare products, cleaning products, etc. that claim to be all of these things. There are multi-level marketing companies that push over priced products and get people caught up in selling these "amazing all natural products". We are so bombarded with hearing natural is the best, so we then start to believe that. In many cases natural can be better but in others it can stop people from getting proper medical treatment and therefore can result in further illness or even death. I think that the least harmful would be ones that are based on ideology. I think that people need something to believe in and these things give people answers to questions that don't have any. Whether it be reincarnation or if there is a heaven, these questions can't be answered. Often times they give people hope as well.
6. If I could pass on my knowledge to a family member or friend it would be to examine everything with a skeptic mind. Don't believe the easiest and most obvious answer. Look for real evidence and facts.
