From my school years I recall pretty cognitive lesson organized by our biology teacher at a botanical garden. It was one of my most memorable lessons. During that guided tour I learned a lot of types of plants. It was pretty impressive to see endemic plants. I recall much more memorable part of that tour. We got to plant a small seed in a pot and take it home. It was fantastic for me to see life cycle of plants from seed to growth. After that tour I realized even more how plants are vital to our planet and our life.

I would like to represent fine-motor activity based on a Reggio-inspired STEM approach. For example, educator provides children colorful small paper shapes without any specific instructions. Just only educators gives them glue, scissors, board, tape, stick, baskets and punchers. So, children can modify their creations. Children create based on their experiences and curiosity. Some of them sort shapes in the baskets based on their colors. The other group combines rectangles, triangles, squares, and circles on the boards with sticks. Some children make animals, robots, rockets, cars, boats, from different shapes. Based on Reggio-inspired approach the environment is considered the third teacher. It supports to develop curiosity, independence, and hands-on exploration. For this activity educator provides individual and collaborative spaces for children. Also, educator provides them baskets and boards. This approach is incredibly profitable to organize my future teaching practice. Based on this approach I should implement child-centered teaching, which can support children to construct their own understanding. They can learn through their questions, ideas, and problem-solving efforts. Based on this approach I should act as observer, facilitator rather then just provide information. In summary, this approach plays crucial role emphasizing child-centered teaching by prioritizing exploration , creativity, and active learning.
