  • National Government had to get permission and support from states to do anything

  • Need 9 out of 13 votes to pass new laws
  • Need ALL to change a law in the

Hardly any laws were passed

One of the weaknesses in the article of confederation was that there was no currency system in the US. Instead of an American dollar bill like we have today, each state had its own currency. One of the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation was that the states had problems agreeing with each other.
