Known For:He is known for being the Dad of the younger generation, like Demeter, Hades, Hera, Hestia,Poseiden, and Zues. He is the God of Time as it affects the course of human life.
His Story:A prophecy once told him that one of his sons would grow up and overpower him, so he devoured his offspring. His wife saved Zues and when zeus grew up he overpower his dad and made him disgorge his siblings, then threw him in prison. Many years later Zues freed him and mad him the king of Elysium.

Story~According to Hesiod, Metis, the first wife of Zeus, was the mother of Athena, but when Metis was pregnant with her, Zeus, on the advice of Gaea and Uranus, swallowed Metis up, and afterwards gave birth himself to Athena, who sprang from his head. Hephaestus split the head of Zeus with his axe, and that Athena sprang forth with a mighty war-shout. Other traditions again relate, that Athena sprang from the head of Zeus in full armor.

Story- Is that his son named Phaethon attempted to drive his father's chariot but couldn’t and set the Earth on fire. If Zeus had not interfered by throwing a thunderbolt at Phaethon, killing him instantly, all mortals would have died.

Story: Apollo started out as the Light/ Sun God, his job was to pull the sun across the sky in his 4- horse chariot everyday. He is now referred to as not only the Light God but also the God of poetry, music, archery, painting, prophecy, plagues and healing, animal welfare, radiance, plowing, etc.

what is the one story that goes along with this god or goddess - One of the Titans, his mighty father Uranus was terrified of the great ugly kids pregnant Gaia was producing and had them banished to the bowels of the Earth. In other words, Gaia’s bowels.
She found this so painful (and not just emotionally) that she enlisted the aid of youngest son Cronus to put an end to Uranus’s machinations. With a well-aimed swipe of a sickle, Cronus cut his father off in his prime.
With Uranus out of the way, Cronus became Top God and ruled a Golden Age of peace and prosperity. With his wife Rhea he fathered all the other Top Gods

Messenger of the gods and guide of the dead 
He has a staff From Apollo, and a winged helmet and sandals from Zeus
He is the god of Merchants, Selling, and Thieves/Trickery 

Basically when he was a baby he stole some cattle from Apollo which was not good for him. He gave Apollo and instrument as a kind of apology and then they became best friends. He later went on to meet with Zeus and become the messenger  of the gods.
