         <description><![CDATA[<div>Rutherford, born in 1871, discovered that the atom has a tiny and heavy nucleus, and disproved Joseph's model. He discovered this in 1911 with his gold-foil experiment. This discovery led to scientists realizing that an atom wasn't just one particle, it was made up of multi sub-atomic particles. They discovered this at the University of Manchester.</div>]]></description>
