Hi, I am Dr. Tamara Cook. I have included a picture of my favorite place- Kiawah Island...with my favorite people- my husband, Tim and daughter, Marisa. I have been at USC Upstate since 2010. I have taught in the BSN, MSN and DNP programs. I have been a nurse for 18 years, and have worked ortho, med surg and pediatrics. My favorite is peds!

Hi! I my name is Megan, and I currently work as a nurse in the progressive care unit and would like to pursue more in critical / emergency care. Outside of nursing my life is all about my son and our two dogs. When I do have a moment of free time, you’ll find me in our garden or at the beach.

Hi, my name is McKinley and I am married and have two goldendoodles. I currently work at Greenville memorial hospital in the CVICU. I really enjoy fishing and spending time on the lake with my family.

Hi, I’m Chelsea. I am married and have 3 children and a labradoodle. In my free time I love sleeping, reading, and traveling. My oldest child and my middle child are super active, so you can usually catch me at a baseball game, basketball game or a gymnastics competition. I currently work as a school nurse and on a postpartum mother-baby/pediatric unit. I am currently finishing the last two classes for USC Upstate’s RN-BSN program. I have choosen to take graduate courses because upon completion of the BSN program I would like to immediately begin the MSN program to obtain an MSN in leadership. I am nervous about this semester, but looking forward to completing it.

Hello,

My name is Adrienne. I am married with 3 children ages 11, 8, and 3 (2 boys and 1 girl). I have been a nurse for 16 years. I was a CNA for 2 years. I then became an LPN for 10 years and have now been a RN for 6 years. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings such as doctor's office, nursing home, home health, substance abuse, step-down ICU, and med-surg. I currently work on a PACU unit and have been in my current position for 3 years now. In my spare time, outside of scrubs, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with my family.

I am enrolled in the RN-BSN track. I decided to take graduate courses because I would like to pursue my FNP. I figured staying ahead would put me at an advantage. My plan is to apply for the FNP program at USC Columbia this fall for Summer 2027 admission. Wish me luck!

Hi, my name is Maddison, and I currently work as an emergency department nurse. I am finishing the last two courses of my RN-BSN program, and I’m excited to be nearing completion. When I’m not working night shifts, I enjoy catching up on sleep, spending time with my friends and family, and hanging out with my Boykin Spaniel, River. In the future, I hope to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. However, I would like to gain a few more years of bedside experience and continue building my knowledge and clinical skills before taking that next step in my career.
