Dany Cotton was the first female commissioner on site at Grenfell tower. As commissioner, she had the responsibilities of being in command of over 20 fire engines. She also had to motivate the men and woman enough to go running into that blazing inferno which was Grenfell Tower. She also had to deal with the masses of broken-down men and women. Dany had to do all of this on her own whilst this burning inferno was killing innocent people in front of her. All of this pressure and responsibilities and she wasn't even supposed to be on duty that day she was just on call.

Within the public services there are many skills and qualities needed to be a leader. In the case of Grenfell, the fire service commissioners had know about building construction, fire safety and Search and Rescue skills. They had to know building construction because that exactly what they were going into....a building. So the commissioners had to know if the building was still safe enter. Then they have to learn about fire safety, obviously, because they're fireMAN so they have to know fire safety its apart of their job.
