This is because we often just spend the session going over and marking our seminar prep which could easily be done at home. It doesn't feel like we are learning much extra.

If a slide has too much content, it can be overwhelming to process the information whilst the lecturer is speaking since your attention is constantly split between what is on the PowerPoint and what is being said.

Hi! My name is Chloe and I am a final year Modern Languages student studying German and French. I have just returned from a year abroad in both France and Germany after completing such a rewarding experience studying at 2 partner universities, soaking up new cultures and improving my language skills. In my free time I enjoy going to gigs, cooking tasty vegan food and watching films. At the weekend you'll probably find me in a café or having a browse in the Beeston charity shops!


I am excited to stand as one of your course reps and will be around to assist with any course-related queries or feedback that you might have - I am always happy to help so don't hesitate to get in touch!
