https://padlet.com/BobbyChhabra/About An experienced orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Bobby Chhabra focuses on assisting patients experiencing issues with the hands, wrists, and elbows. Currently the Lillian T. Pratt Distinguished Professor at the University of Virginia, he also chairs the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and started the Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship. In addition, he serves as a professor of plastic surgery and as a consultant with the UVA Department of Athletics. A graduate of University of Virginia School of Medicine, Dr. Bobby Chhabra joined his alma mater in 2002 and played a key role in founding the UVA Hand Center. Prior to beginning his career, Dr. Bobby Chhabra earned a bachelor of science in biology from Johns Hopkins University and later graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Subsequently completing a general surgery residency, a research fellowship, and an orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia, he went on to fulfill the obligations of a fellowship in hand, microvascular, and congenital hand surgery at the Hand Center of San Antonio and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Accomplished in his field, Dr. Chhabra maintains standing as a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
