Reflection for Day 1

The photography session was not bad, I learnt how to position my phone and to know just about what angle I should face when taking a nice photo. I did face challenges like people walking past me as I snap but other than that, it was more or less very fun and engaging. No negative points in today's first session. Some good points was that it was really fun and I would have to say that for me as just a beginner, I would have done pretty well myself. Overall, I am still unsure whether or not I should continue to pursue on this hobby because I do not really keep up with it but I would try to in the near future, especially when I feel like I love it a lot and would probably be my passion and career in the near future.

I have chosen Photography as my activity for the next 4 days of HBL as my SIL activity and I hope to adapt it as my new side-hobby or hobby after the 4 sessions and more sessions in between.

For the last day of SIL, I decided to take another picture with incorporated and improved angle and timing as well.

Reflection for Day 2

Today's experience was very fun. I tried changing the angles of my photographs and tried some front shots. One of the challenges I faced was that because it was moving, I had some trouble taking the picture because of traffic which affects it also because the object is moving which makes it fairly difficult to take the picture. Some good points about this session was that it was fun and also an improvement on what I did the previous time round. Overall, I think that I might move towards having photography as my hobby because I am interested in it.

Reflection for Day 3

[gh]For today's activity, I tried some back shots and also adjusted my angles again to try and achieve a better quality kind of picture. Some challenges I faced this time around were that I was taking the photo in a moving vehicle. Thus, it was hard to snap at the aspired angle. A learning point was that angling is very important and also the timing as we snap the picture must be very critical because from experience, if we click the camera button either too early or too late could mess up the picture. Some good points about this session were that I practised back shots and was really an engaging experience. I would more or less likely have Photography as my hobby in the future.

Reflection for Day 4

As this is my last reflection for SIL, I would want to say that my last and final session as been the best because I incorporated all the skills which I learnt from the past SIL sessions and pieced together a relatively personal-favourite front and diagonal-angled picture. Throughout this session, I did not really face any challenges and snapped it nicely with ease. The good points are that I can now preferably take photos with much ease. After today's final SIL session, I have decided my new hobby would indefinitely be Photography because I enjoy it and hope to improve more as my future pictures.

Overall Conclusion on my SIL journey for Semester One 2022

Over the past few days of SIL, I have learnt the skills and improved on the skills of Photography. SIL has definitely been a roller coaster full of ups-and-downs. However, at the end of the day, I still learn and improve a thing or two and I enjoy what i am doing so. Overall, i feel that SIL really helped me see my hobby and I would definitely would try and keep up with this hobby occasionally.

Introduction on Photography

Photography is the process of capturing visual images by using a device like a phone, tablet, laptop or even a personal camera. It can be thought of a few ways. However, for this SIL, I would be using Normal Photography. Normal Photography is an image captured by a device which to a human eye, is somewhat a rough match with the existing object that they are comparing the photograph to and also in which the photograph looks natural to the person. A natural look and feel is portrayed by the photograph whether it is natural or if it is photoshopped.
