Some tried to push back soldiers who had and their way into the assembly building. By 01:00 local time, National Assembly speaker submitted a resolution requesting martial law to be lifted. And less than two hours 190 lawmakers voted unanimously to block it. It was chaos 6 hours.

The 39-years- old conservative senator who was seeking his party's nomination for the 2026 presidential election. He got shot three times at an event in the capital Bogota. A 15-years old teenage suspect was arrested as he was fleeing the scene he charged with attempted murder and pleaded not guilty. However, police are still trying to determine the possible motive for the attack and who may have ordered it. And doctors treating he is in an "extremely critical condition" after being shot in the head 10 days ago.
