Hi Sirr! It’s been about a week after Ylirhaya’s graduation, and I just want to thank you for all your efforts in helping us create the masterpiece that paints six years of lived experiences, “Alas Singko.”

As the unspoken tradition of every graduating batch of BRC, we knew we needed to give justice to whatever we were going to come up with that we would soon call our batch song. With that, the song committee was firm in its decision to seek the expertise of someone who was experienced and passionate in the field of music as well as the production of such, which then led us to you.

Admittedly—as much I wanted to show my commitment physically—I wasn’t present in all meetings due to other equally important obligations I had on my plate. Despite this, we had such skilled and passionate committee members that truly poured their creativity and soul all the way until the song’s completion. All this would not have been possible if not for your guidance, sir.

I’m sure you’ve had your fair share of frustrations with us, and for that we sincerely apologize. We admire and appreciate the time and effort put into helping us write, rewrite, produce, and perform the “Alas Singko.” Thank you so much for everything, Sir Andre! You did more than asked of a supervisor.

We hope you continue to be passionate in your music! We are looking forward to hearing more of it. 🪷

I would like to genuinely express my gratitude for the wonderful opportunity to be part of the instrumental for the batch song. To be frank, I was scared when I first entered the Multi Purpose Room 1 with my guitar. I didn’t know how chords were made, how progressions worked, or much else about music really.

While I wasn't able to contribute to how the chords in the song were written, I would like to thank you so so much for being one of my inspirations to also pursue music more seriously. Since that moment, I've found myself learning new things--scales, progressions, chords, and more---while also becoming deeply intrigued by the process of recording and making music.

Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity and for the impact that you've had on me. Your positivity has ignited in me newfound passion for music<3

Despite all the crammed sessions we've had, starting from the songwriting process, to the recording of instrumentals and voices, and to the post-editing works of the song, you still believed in us that we can accomplish the somg, and that we thank you so much for it, Sir. After listening to the finished version of the song, I was quite shocked to hear that all of those trials and errors we've had at the pavillion eventually evolved into something much more emotional, heartfelt, and genuine that is "Alas Singko."

Even I felt a bit teary-eyed and emotional despite the laughs we've had while singing the song during the graduation ceremony, hehe, especially during the chorus which meant that no form of magic can stop the time, as the remaining 5' oclocks we have inside the campus will eventually have its countdown to 0.

Will miss you sir, even though we did not interact that much around the campus. I hope you enjoy your time there in Pisay as a teacher!

Hello Sir!! I want to thank you sincerely for all the help and guidance you gave us in producing our Batch Song. Your input with the instrumentals really shaped the heart of the piece, and it wouldn’t have turned out the way it did without you. I’m especially grateful for the way you helped me bring the bass to life. As someone who's still a rookie at bass playing, your suggestions gave me a better understanding on how to make it more expressive for the song.

Recording a bass line was also a completely new experience for me, and honestly, it felt both nerve-wracking and exciting. But with your guidance, it became something I’m really proud of. Though we didn’t get to interact that much throughout the process, this experience has become really meaningful to me. It was my first time recording bass for an original composition, and I am honored that I got to do it under your mentorship. Thank you for being part of this milestone as I will always carry it with me.

Hello po, Sir Andre!!! I would like to show my appreciation for your help in our batch song. Thank you so much for being an instrumental (double meaning) person to the development and eventual success of our song "Alas Singko". Working with you Sir has been so much fun !!!🗣️🔊 Ang saya that most of the time when we were all developing the song, we were just jamming out, having fun, and trying every suggestion to see what sticks. Your chill and lively energy really invited all of us to collaborate with one another. Because of the creation of the batch song, I've gained another core memory right before graduating Pisay! As a musically inclined person and a performer, it's your kind of personality and energy that really inspire me and other artists. I admire how you made everything work despite the time constraints, limited professional gear and our busy schedules. Thank you for building the foundation of our song. We will forever be grateful for you, and whenever I listen to Alas Singko, I'll remember the times we all spent working on the song, along with my precious memories in Pisay. Thank you once again Sir!!! We love you and see you soonest!!! 💞

First and foremost, I would like to thank you sir so so much for the guidance you've given us in the creation of our batch songg. It takes an incredible amount of resilience and a daunting amount of passion to push through with these kinds of things, and you showed both of those attributes all throughout. I may not have been as active of a member compared to the rest, but it shows that even with just that little time we were together, your presence was very much felt. Thank you for providing that direction and uplifiting motivation we so truly needed in our goal, if it weren't for those, we may have never gotten as far as we did with you. Keep shining po with the luster you bring to the room, and keep allowing creative minds shine!

The songwriting process was truly magical when you were involved po. Although you had given us the liberty to let our creativity ooze out and let us think of countless lyrical ideas, you knew how to step in at the right time to give us guidance and advice and that was the moments where I felt like our lyrics were perfected. Lyrics that encapsulated our high school life that left such a mark to all of us. And I'm so happy with the way it sounds thanks to you po sir!

Kaya thank you po talaga for being involved saamin even if you didn't really know our batch a whole lot. I wish you could have taught our batch because you seem such a fun and awesome teacher po. I hope you enjoy your time teaching here in Pisay!

Hello po, Sir! Actually, when I was trying to figure out what to do to begin the process or to mobilize the batch song committee, it was overwhelming for me since I’m not very familiar with songwriting and producing. Kaya no’ng nag-suggest po si Joshua na ikaw po ‘yung kunin na supervisor and he told me na nakausap ka na po niya, it was really relieving po to have you huhu. Although I wasn’t present in most of the meetings, inu-update po ako nina Joshua and I’m very grateful po talaga for your guidance.

When I first got the chance to attend one of the meetings, it was during the time that the committee was trying to piece together the lyrics but was having difficulty in doing so. That time, medyo under pressure na rin po since halos isang month na lang din before graduation, if I remember correctly. But throughout the meeting, I was really in awe of how you guided each one of us in trying to get our ideas out kahit most po ay nahihiya pa that time. I saw how you effectively encouraged my batchmates and got to make them feel that whatever idea they had was heard, all the while giving constructive insights to each of them. I couldn’t help but admire how you guided us with such patience.

We’re really grateful for your time as well po, Sir, as minsan inaabot na rin po beyond curfew huhu. I can’t imagine how differently the committee would’ve done this all without you po. You made the sessions enjoyable, and Ylirhaya will always remember Alas Singko 🥹 Thank you so so muchh po, Sirr! I wish you well po 💗
