When the storm was small but still pretty strong, Ben flew through the cabin. But fortunately he wasn't badly hurt he was just cold and wet.
He is courageous because when there was only him and Rudy on the raft he told Rudy to go because Rudy have a family and he, Ben is single.

A storm can make you feel responsible for other people that you are not for, this make him kind of sorry for them and nervous about it.
JP has gotten hypothermia because the ocean is so cold and they keep rolling off the raft and into the cold cold water. JP keeps going unconscious because he is so cold and sick and has a lot of broken ribs.

Rudy

It was the first time for Rudy got to go on a sailboat voyage on the ocean but 1-2 day's after they left Florida JP, Ben< and Rudy got caught up in a soon to be big storm. During the storm Rudy didn't get hurt which is amazing. When the boat sunk and everyone had to move to the raft and during when they were in the raft Rudy was starting to get cold and was in the first stage of hypothermia but, he stayed strong.

Each men is lost in his own thoughts. All three of them think they are going to die but then a miracle happens, the rescue squad shows up and they drop a rescue swimmer and he risks his life for them and Rudy, Ben and JP are so thankful that the EPIRB sent out a signal to the coast guard.

Everyone is still alive

When the helicopters look down at the raft they only see two survivors because JP is still in Rudy's arms unconscious so it looks like there's only two alive. At the hospital, Drew (The rescue swimmer) had strained muscles, Rudy"s body temperature was around 95 degrees, Ben"s was about the same, and JP had 10 broken ribs.

The rescue helped save the 3 sailors from the terrible 80 feet wave storm and Drew ( the rescue swimmer) risked his life for the three sailors
