Hammurabi's code was the first code made. It impacts todays society in many ways. For example, in todays society if you do something bad you get a penalty. Obviously not as harsh as the penalty's in Hammurabi's code. This code has impacted our society greatly. Hammurabis code placed a great value on life. We analyze the crime being committed and punish respectively. Today the people (Judge and Jury) decide the laws and punishment as a whole.
