Smalls from WOW: I resonate with this because it emphasizes advocating for yourself and putting the power into your own hands for your own future! Self-advocacy is something that I've personally struggled with in my own life as I've learned to navigate the world being non-binary and being a neurodiverse person with ADHD. I've seen first hand how systems for people with developmental disabilities often create environments where people are being talked over or spoken for. Everyone can communicate and everyone needs to be respected in how they communicate their wants and needs and have autonomy over their own life.
