OCD convinced me I was a bad person, so I lost many years compulsing to make sure I wasn't a bad person. Now that I'm past formative years, I have better tools to combat OCD, and am still learning who I am beyond what OCD tells me. Something that helps me is going towards my values rather than what OCD tells me.

I feel like it’s often difficult for me to determine if my identity is ocd, is mainly based on ocd, or if it’s my true ocd. I feel like getting fixated on this question of identity and ocd is kind of a cycle of avoidance for me, in a way.
