The Jim Crow Laws were very harsh on the African-Americans. Although the law said "Seprete but equal" these laws were unfair. Whites were getting better treatment than blacks. Blacks could not live in the same neighborhood as whates. Nor could they go to the same school or ride in the front of the bus. Blacks could not even drink from the same water fountain! This was known as segregation.
Plessy vs. Ferguson was when a black man sat in the white section of the train. The bus driver told the man to move but the man refused. They ended up taking the black man to court.
Segregation made life so much harder for African-Americans. They could not get the same jobs as whites and if they did get a job it had a low pay.

plessy v furgison is when this black african american was finding some land and this white guy came in and said this is my land so this went on to go to quart and the white guy fiannaly got his labd back.i dont think this is fare because the black guy found the land first and if you find something first you should get it .the only reason why the black guy did not get his land is because his color of his skin.well to me it doesent matter if there a different color you should treat them like you would want to be treated . this time in history was a very sad time because those people did not get treated fair at all

1. I remember that plessy went on a train that was fergusons. he refused to move . plessy was a freedman so he tried to take ferguson to court to state his rights. plessy lost and was not aloud on the train. jim crow laws currently had white and blacks seperated saying"seperate but equal" but whites still thought they were supperior to blacks. they went to seperate schools towns fountains. after plessy vs. ferguson they inforced jim crow laws more and sharecropping got into a worse cycle of poverty.

1. Jim crow laws were the laws that kept black and whites seperated and it was very hard on the African-Americans. African Americans could not go to the same water fountains as whites or the same bathroom as whites or the same neighborhood as the white.

Jim crow laws segregated the whites and the blacks. As the law stated, " separate but equal rights," the whites and blacks weren't aloud to drink from the same water fountains, eat at the same restaurants, or even talk to each

1. Plessy vs. Ferguson was when this black guy was sitting in the white section of a bus and the bus driver told him to move but he wouldn't move so they took it to the Supreme Court and they ruled that as long as it was seperate but equal. The Jim Crow laws were laws that said that segregation was allowed. This made it harder for african americans because they can't do things that whites can. Later on blacks went around protesting this and finally they got equal rights.

2.Jim crow laws were the laws that kept blacks and whites seperated. The whites and blacks had diffrent schools and water fountions. Usually whites got the better part of all. The blacks got the cheaper made products. As you can see in the picture they have a smaller water fountion because people thought the colored people were not important
