The Wonderfilled campaign from Oreo launched in late 2012 as the company’s ambitious goal to move from the world’s favourite cookie to one of the world’s most iconic brands. In order to create a bigger story, the advertising company went simple by delving into the basics of human nature — curiosity. The aim of this campaign is to imagine how an Oreo can transform the mundane.

The most iconic feature from the campaign is their animation spot set to a catchy tune, showing how historically “evil” figures such as the Big Bad Wolf and a vampire take a turn for the better with the help of Oreo. The campaign is aimed more towards adults to remind them of how they used to see wonders in the world, thus igniting their inner child. The campaign promotes positivity and harmony, and encourages the audience to view the world with fresh eyes and a curious heart.

Rather than featuring 20-somethings, Dos Equis aged up, making a star out of gray-haired journeyman actor Jonathan Goldsmith. In the campaign, he plays the debonair “Most Interesting Man in the World,” who has become one of the most revered ad characters of the century. Or as one ad suggests, “If he were to pat you on your back, you would list it on your résumé.” According to the company, U.S. sales increased each year between 2006–2010, and tripled in Canada in 2008, although exact figures were not provided. Sales of Dos Equis are said to have increased by 22% at a time when sale of other imported beer fell 4% in the U.S.

This work shows the value of breaking out of category cliché and convention. This campaign is unique as it was targeted at ladies — the partners of men, although it's meant to be used by guys. This is because ladies were buying female body wash for their partners, and Old Spice was losing business. They went with the tagline 'the man your man could smell like'. The man in their famous video ad addresses ladies and tries to 'seduce' them into wanting their significant other to smell good with Old Spice. The message was able to be delivered to men and women at the same time in a creative and humorous way. The memorable video went viral when it was released.

It has a twisted imagery and a direct and straightforward title. The imagery and video produced for the campaign shocks the viewers and reminds them of what will happen if they do not do anything about frog extinction. It alerts the viewer as the images and videos are itch-inducing and they provide discomfort for the viewers. This successfully causes viewers to be aware of the problem with the endangered frog species as it would put them at a disadvantage.

The main barrier preventing smokers from listening to the warnings or taking action were the smokers themselves. They were already well aware of the hazards, but they were often arrogant and considered themselves all-knowing. They believed they were in control of the situation - especially of their health. Therefore, warnings from friends and family or the THPF were seen as irrelevant messages from 'outsiders' who did not really understand their real situation. The previous anti-smoking campaigns were meaningless because they talked about smokers in general and not about ‘them’ specifically. To create a real behavior change, we had to select the right speaker, one who smokers will trust wholeheartedly. And there was no more powerful envoy of the anti-smoking message than the smokers themselves. The insight for this campaign was “the most powerful speaker is ‘me’, the smoker”. To successfully convince smokers to called Quitline and eventually drop their bad habit, the new campaign needed to make them admit to themselves that smoking was a problem that needed to be solved and help them remember a fact they had chosen to ignore.
