Future goals are graduation with the bachelor’s degree and find a better job than I have right now.

Good evening everyone,

My name is Cailey Mann and I am very excited to be in the final semester of my BAS Degree with you all. I decided to enroll into the BAS-IST program when I realized that my passions were not only based in healthcare, but in the connection of the healthcare system and technology. I have lived in Newberry all of my life, and I now live here with my husband and our two children. I am currently an IS Application Analyst at UF Health, and I am certified in Epic Procedure Orders and Epic Clinical Documentation. I truly love working with Epic and UF Health. My future goal would be to become a Level 3 Application Analyst, and to obtain certifications in other modules of Epic. This would allow me to take on more leadership responsibilities and have a more robust understand of Epic and how the modules interact. I hope to continue to work on projects that can create a better healthcare system and a more useful EMR for both patients and clinicians. My main career interests are to make healthcare more accessible and easier to understand for the general public. I would love to take away a better understanding of wireless networks that would give me the tools to develop a network that is more effective for a healthcare setting. Additionally, I am interested to learn more about how my wireless devices interact with different types of networks.

3. Almost everything is becoming wireless in some form or fashion. And as an IT major, it is very important to keep up to date and knowledgeable of how networking with wireless devices is accomplished.

4. I hope to eventually find myself with a position in the public sector, either local or national government position.

6. I have gained a big interest in 3D printing ever since I got my first one during the pandemic to pass time.

I'm looking forward to learning about every aspect of a wireless network. Cost and startup was never something I really covered heavily so I'm excited for the future in this course.

After securing my degree I will be attempting to stay with my current company (Carmax) and move into their IT program located in Richmond Virginia

I've been interested in vehicles for quite sometime because of my work. Recently I've begun going off-roading and trying to get outdoors more.

More info regarding any type of networking. It became very interesting to me from an outsider because of how deep the technology goes in regards to networking.

To be able to graduate with this degree that I've worked towards for so long and to learn more on how devices interact with one another.

any job that deals with the hardware side of tech. any type of repairing, fixing, installing that might come along with it.  

6. What are your interests?
My hobbies and interests include interacting with people and learning how things work. Like I said above, I enjoy taking things apart and learning what does what inside of phones, tablets, computers or laptops. 

2)      I grew up in Cedar Key Fl (60 students Highschool), which explains why I am probably more comfortable with the smaller campus.

3)      My Major is IST with Networking, so I hope to take away new networking knowledge that I haven’t known of before.

4)      My Future goals are to finish my bachelors, start a family, and get into a position that revolves more around networking.

5)      I’m seeking a Junior Network Engineer job at a bigger company.

6)      My interests would be Video games, festivals, and the beach.

 

I enrolled into the BAS program to increase my earning potential and because after multiple A.S. degrees I don’t think I know enough to be an asset to future employees

I was born and raised in Florida, I lived in Volusia county for the majority of my life and moved to Gainesville 5 years ago.

I hope to gain a better understanding of wireless devices and how they communicate through the network stack.

My most pressing goals are to pass this semester without negatively effecting my GPA, get better at troubleshooting email issues, and to stop making mistakes on the job.

I currently work for an MSP and love most days so I am not currently looking but if I would pick any employer in Gainesville it would have to be GRU.

I love to watch movies with wife, play with my dogs, workout when I can find time, and  what every tech does learn learn learn.

1. Why did you decide to enroll in  the BAS-IST program?
SFC's AS to BAS-IST program was very attractive as you could enter the career field of IT while continuing your studies for the full BAS degree. The BAS degree will help assist with continuing on to a Master's degree.

After completing this course, I wish to expand my knowledge of 802.11n and 802.11ac in an enterprise environment.

After completing the BAS-IST program, I wish to pursue a Master's in Science at UF or WGU in Information Systems and Operations Management.

Currently I am mentoring to become a SysAdmin for the North Florida Division of my company.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends/family, biking/kayaking, movies/documentaries, video games, and recently started a small farm in Alachua, Florida.

1.      Why did you decide to enroll in the BAS-IST program?

I enrolled in the BAS-IST because I always wanted to obtain my Bachelor’s degree. I like computers and this seemed like the best choice. Also, it seems that it’s in agreeance that a BAS degree is becoming the standard in many requirements in this field.

I am from Germany but have lived in Florida for many years. I currently live in Ocala but I do work in Gainesville.

The thing I want to take away from this class is to understand the full potential of cloud and get a better idea of all the possibilities that cloud can bring.

My short-term future goal is to pass this class and this semester but my long-term goal is to be apart of something bigger than myself and gain an understanding of things such as computers and ideas that revolve around technology.
