My parents value stability and they want that for me, I also want that for myself. Growing up overseas has taught me how you can have so much but not even realize it. In today's day and age everyone is wanting the next bigger thing, either Iphone or the trendiest clothes, we are never satisfied with what we have. My family has taught me that all you really need in life is to find someone who loves you and cares about you because it really doesn't matter where you live or what you do as long as you feel like you matter. Most people in Morocco don't have a lot and they were always welcoming of new people no matter if they only had a little food left they would always share it with their friends. So now I would say it would be my Yeti cup. I would say that because everything I was going to pick my boyfriend gave me so now I appreciate my cup because i've been drinking a lot of water and staying healthy. It also makes my skin so glowy so i'm having my glow up era. I really appreciate it because I always forget to drink water. Since my cup looks so pretty and the color is so cool I drink it a lot. Also, always when I travel with my family I always take a water bottle or some type of thing that carries water. I feel like I attract people who don't drink or smoke or those types of things. I'm not sure why I attract those people but the ones who I click with the most have those types of morals. I do have friends who do stuff like that and I still think they're great people they just have different friends than me. I'm also not a fan of people who talk bad about someone just for the fun of it. I'm all for talking bad about someone who actually did something bad or if they were mean to you but if it was literally for no reason then I don't like that. Since I was homeschool we did many adventures to museums and historical landmarks that showed me what it really means to learn. It's not memorizing stuff from a textbook, it's real knowledge that can help you shape the way you think. She told me one day that if someone isn't communicating their feelings then you shouldn't give them your time and attention. I've been thinking about it a lot because it relates to me with a lot of different people. I tend to put a lot into someone who doesn't reciprocate it and that affects me more than i've thought. My mom however noticed this because she knows me that much and so when she told me that I knew she was right. After living here for about 5 years, (6 in May) I have learned how we take a lot of things for granted here in America. We don't realize how lucky we are to have sturdy houses with running water and electricity. Since I lived in both places I've seen how happy they are in the less privileged place. You would think that they would be sad and depressed that they don't have more but they're content with what they have and they're happy with what they have.
