It takes us into a future society where knowledge  is a threat, and firefighters, instead of putting out fires, burn books.

The character Guy Montag is a firefighter who is proud of his job burning books. But some meetings and events with Clarisse McClellan begin to make him doubt about things.

He begins to question everything he knows, until he rebels.

Captain Beatty, Montag's boss, is frightening. He knows a lot about books and their power.

Fire shows destruction and control, the system’s power to destroy everything.

Conversations are superficial, relationships are empty and trying to be happy just means fitting in.

Fahrenheit 451 shows us how we choose to live in these times of excessive information. Books are a symbol of knowledge, memory and free thoughts.

Fahrenheit 451 is a reflective look at why culture matters and the freedom to thought. It's a call to defend the right to read, to ask questions, to think for oneself, and to fight against any attempt  to limit access to knowledge.
