Then later on 
during a class they had together there was a project assigned and you needed a partner so he yelled out in front of the class that he wanted to be violets partner .Then they were partners and they went to a lot of different places together , but finch was going through depression . In the end of the book finch goes back to one of the spots theyd hang out at and drowned . They would go there and it was a river but the bottom was really deep and so they would both try to reach the bottom .
