<title> I use observations and active questioning/answers, graphic organizers, puzzles, and word games about the skills/content we cover. I have used two projects this semester to assess comprehension of leveled chapter books the students chose from the class library. Also, I have an online progress monitoring data assessment that is used every 15 days that helps to assess comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, phonics/spelling. </title>

<title>Formative assessments- I feel that a teacher needs to use several types of assessment to make sure you are meeting all of the student’s needs in your class. The more variety of assessments you use the more data you can get about student learning. Some assessments that are formative can be very long for students to complete like test but there are also immediate fast results you can get when doing formative assessments on students like the simple thumbs up . These quick types will give you immediate results so you can continue or change at that time if needed to help with student understanding, application, and knowledge of what you are trying to teach.</title>

<title>Formative assessments-Students need to be assessed for knowledge and skill based on where they are. This means that not every assessment will look the same, they will be differentiated. For example, students may verbalize knowledge about a particular objective instead of writing it. </title>

<title>Bellringers are a great way to create structure for the beginning part of your class. Students know to expect some work within the first 10 -15 minutes of class. How long students take to complete/gather the information, indicates for me how much more we need to be doing to get the objective across.</title>
