I had automatically just thought of plants and not really any other organism. When reading this book, I got a good idea of how genetically modified organism include MOST organisms. Like the book told me about how the first “clone” was an animal. Also that GMOs don’t always deal with improving the quantity or quality of crops. My animal example, Dolly the sheep was our first clone and although she wasn’t a complete success she made an impact on scientist who can fix what went wrong today. The book tells us not only about the after affects of the gmos but the cutting edge Technology used to make the organisms. Also that even though most people focus on the negative sides of gmos, they are actually being used to improve our world of medicine aswell. I walked into this subject not knowing a thing about GMO’s other than the fact that they we’re still not being accepted by everyone. And I honestly found that foolish, I thought that people were being closed towards new introductions and that GMO’s would just help prevent world hunger in the future. As I watched this film I was introduced to all these allergens and diseases that seen created from GMOs. Now I look at my meals twice before eating them thinking of all the stuff inside it. If you do decide to watch it, observe the debate on labeling in America which is actually real life. This article made me in disbelief because its talking about the advantages of GMOs. People don't really read and care about the labels and this article mentioned about it and it made me feel that this needed to be introduced with the rest of the world. " Hundreds of acres of gene edited crops have already grown in several states, unencumbered by oversight or regulations" This made me think that farmers today are already planning for the future and that organic foods aren't going to make it into the future.

They said 80% of the foods and meats in the super market contains some type of genetic modification but are not labeled. So far the us is the only country without labeling laws that allows genetic modification and the way the grow the animals is unsanitary and chemical filled and harsh and too fast. Most of what I had read up to this article was talking about the negatives of GMOs. So when I read this article and it was focusing on the positives I was surprised there were this many. The article talks about how people may say that farmers opinions on GMOs may be biased because they have part in producing the crops. The article talk about how farmers are consumers too and the are completely fine with the GMOs but when a counter argument IS made in the article it talk about the same common issue of no labels.
