Mind Map of self

Know: in this lesson, we watched many videos on creativity and mindsets! I learned where all that comes from.

Do: we started self-mind maps, containing everything important about me. We also learned how to create padlets!

Color theory:

Know:

In this session, we had hours to research about Wassily Kandinsky.

Do:

We started our art piece, which basically contained all information that we researched before.

Know: we watched a few more videos on observation and mindsets...

Do: we finished our mind maps (added detail and perfected our mistakes) I also decided to bring the mind map home, to really get the product I want to have in the end. Did I succeed? No.

Session 4 30/1/24 Observational drawing:

Know: the teacher gave us 30 more minutes to finish our mind maps. She also explained that artists are never truly happy with their art result.

Do: we had to take a few objects from our pencil case (pens, glue stick, etc.) and place them in front of ourselves. We had to do an observational drawing, which really helped me practice my shading skills, which picked my brain a little (in a good way)!

In this lesson, we found out many many new things about Kandinsky and his colour theory...

Do:

Me and Liza finished our artwork, adding details and pictures.

Know: in this lesson, we found out about many different people and many different color theories.

Do: we presented our poster on Wassily Kandinsky to the class

Know: In this lesson, we learned about primary and secondary colors, and the color wheel.

Do: we painted out own color wheels with colors that we mixed ourselves.

Know: I found out a lot of new things about Paul Klee's color theory, and how it works.

Do: I started and finished an "abstract" piece with acrylic paint and three colours: blue, black and white.
