Filled with laughter and tales, we claimed it as our sanctuary.

The rivers serenaded us, while the trees swayed joyfully,

Each step along the trail created a fresh memory.

Through valleys and fields, the sun graced our faces,

With every new adventure, we quickened our paces.

The stars illuminated the night, sparkling like gems,

By the warmth of the fire, we felt no solitude.

We wandered through forests, where soft whispers lingered,

Nature's echoes served as our compass along the path.

With each twisting road, our spirits lifted high,

In the delight of the journey, we discovered something deeper.

The mountains loomed majestically, like ancient protectors,

Their tales of wisdom are shared in quietude.

With hearts brimming with curiosity, we reveled in the rain,

In life's rhythm, we welcomed both joy and sorrow.

As our adventure came to a close, we treasured every view,

In the intricate tapestry of our experiences, our memories shone brightly.

Though distances may separate us, our hearts remain connected,

In the essence of travel, we uncover true treasures.

Atlanta airport inbound, new sights and sounds are our prize.

With the short flight a success, Georgia Aquarium - Yes!

Such beautiful surroundings, every color fish abound.

The whale sharks are amazing, as they glide by and surround.

Dolphins do tricks in some shows, they seriously are pros.

A football game to follow, cheer cheer for old Notre Dame.

The fighting Irish triumph, another boost to their fame.

A performance from the band, with their energy was grand.

The next day takes us Northeast, our excitement has increased.

To a giant granite rock, protruding way above ground.

Stone Mountain Park was a shock, Gondola skyride inbound.

Finally at the summit, we made sure not to plummet.

On the Scenic Railway Train, this rock is truly insane.

Our last day in Atlanta, it is not propaganda.

The Tellus Science Center, with much for us to explore.

A space and dino venture, even with displays outdoor.

The morning dawns clear blue skies, time to rise with sleepy eyes.

A shuttle to the airport, to begin our journey home.

The turbulence could not thwart, dreams of new places to roam.

I simply could not wait for that day!

For the great Niagara Falls was our course,

Imagination filled destiny awaits.

With my sister’s troop we piled in,

That long travel bus with the dawnings glin.

Laughter and boredom filled the carriage,

Like magnets, some drew to our devices.

The window seat I clenched by chance, 

Simply by pure happenstance.

The dawn had then turned to day,

And out I stared beyond the way.

“Are we there yet?” manny asked,

Not a definite answer grasped.

Shortly there afterwards, we finally arrived.

Nearly by morn’s eventide.

Our trip, in whole, sublime and much knowledge attained

But by the end, we all were most definitely drained.

So by Sunday’s end, when all were packed,

Once more we cramped in that travel bus shack.

To Pennsylvania our course,

Where rest and nourishment awaits. 

“Go to sleep” they say, but…

You know what? I think I will obey.
