Born January 15, 1929, martin Luther king jr became a American Christian minister and activist throughout this he became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement. This movement was from 1955 all the way to Martins death (assassination). Martin was the first president of the southern Christian leadership conference (SCLC). He also helped organise the 1963 March on Washington, and delivered his famous line ‘I have a dream’. He is a truly Radical Change Agent because of all the things he did, he was the next step in dark skinned Christians and really showed America that you can be black a proud. He changed the view on not just Americans but on the world. Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated (gunshot wound/ sniper shot) by James Earl Ray at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee on the 4th of April 1968 at the young age of 39. After he was shot he was rushed to the hospital but didn’t survive the injuries. James was a fugitive and was later arrested on June 8th 1968 and then later charged with the crime and sentenced to 99years in the Tennessee State Penitentiary. Kings family later filed a wrongful death lawsuit against jowar’s for a sum of $10 million. because they didn’t believe the death was about money and that it was about a U.S. government conspiracy.

What Inspires Me About Him

The most inspiring thing that I have found about Martin Luther King Jr was that he was a black American in the times where black Americans were racially abused and didn’t have many rights. It inspired me that although he had these troubles he was able to push through the racism and look at the positives in life. I thought It was amazing that whenever he heard something bad happen he would speak out and give his opinion on what was happening. He always thought outside the box and really gave black American’s hope about their future and that they could become anything they want no matter what colour their skin was. It was just so inspiring that he could think outside the box and just show his feelings about anything to the world and not worry about what people cared about what he did. He use to look at the negative feedback he got and tried to turn it into a positive. He was just a really inspiring guy.

Martin Luther King Jr wasn’t perfect because of some negative feedback, some feedback really put him down and made him not happy. Although he could make this feedback positive it still put him down that some people didn’t like what he was doing.

This gave a lot of people hope about the future of equality and how people should treat one another. Martin wanted black’s and white’s to be treated the same way and have the same opportunities in life. He was inspired by Gandhi and wanted to be just like Gandhi.

Martin Luther King Jr’s worldview was different in ways to others back then. He was a Christian that wanted equality and peace. Lots of people back then wanted power and control and didn’t care about religion as much, they didn’t care about peace. There were a lot of wars and fights in the early – mid 19th century and this showed that the government didn’t care about peace.
