  • Many immigrants when arriving america seeked ways share their culture with others in social outings. Most food for the immigrants came from their hotels at this time period.

  • Street food vendors in the beginning of the 1800s consisted of mostly single women selling singular items. However, with the increase of immigrants, the variety street food, and vendors increased steadily. An example of this was mexican/hispanic street vendors selling tamales; which was one of san Francisco's most famous food by the 1800s

Seeing as most citizens would experience other foods, or cultures beside these said european countries. Now with these immigrants citizens of the US were able to branch out and expand their horizons, besides just the countries that they or their ancestors came from.
