I am the Pre-K teacher here at Beverly Day School. I have 3 years' experience at this school, but I have been working with children long before at a day care center. The Daycare was called Ray of Sunshine. Knowing me I am enjoying teaching young minds about the world around. This Pre-K program is honestly a great start for your scholar. I find happiness and joy while instructing my students. I would like for my Pre-K students to be the brightest of their peers and use their imagination. So therefore, I aim for the highest success of all my students. My philosophy is simple, it is to ensure each child find themselves with the up greatest learning experience and success I can provide as an educator. I really enjoy seeing the students develop and grow. It is beautiful and amazing. I spent time studying the child mind and development, it is interesting. Seeing a student engage into learning is a great sign. That is something I also aim for, the scholar willingly wanting to learn. We all want the best for all the students. Therefore, they should have the best learning experience. They should be able to adventure out into their own school garden.   • Flashcards - Take out time practice going over number and alphabet flashcards. (you can purchase them or create your own)
  • Hide & seek - This activity isn't your normal hide and seek childhood game, encourage your child to count from 1-20 instead of 1-10 (you could even choose to numeric pattern for them) For example, counting backwards or counting by 5's. Next hide different things (shapes, numbers, educational things) around your home or outside and allow your child to seek them. Once they find them, have them express what it is.
