The filter paper is placed in a plastic filter holder, and the water is poured over the rusty orange colored paper. The filter kills 99.9% of the bacteria in the water, creating crystal clear, clean drinkable water. The “reader” simply tears out a page, puts it in a simple filter holder, and then pours water over it. The Drinkable Book is made of sturdy sheet of paper embedded with silver nanoparticles which are lethal for harmful microbes. Each book is made up of 20 pages and the “filter” lasts up to 30 days, and can filter up to 100 litres of water.
