In this culture creating art is a way to worship their gods. The beauty of the products and designs is created by the artist-s love for nature. The Native Americans created many shapes and geometric designs for their art. These were repeated and by that the so called Native American pattern was created.

From the pictures of the items below we can see shared features and patterns. from those we can conclude the basic outline of what the Native American contains (what kind of symmetry, shapes, colours, etc.).

Islamic calligraphy has a deep connection with Koran/Qur'an and does not have any visual picture which makes calligraphy valuable and the best presentation of art in Islam. Other than verses from Koran, some poems are also written in the form of calligraphy. This calligraphy is used to decorate mosques in which they use verses from Koran. There are different  styles/types of calligraphies in Islam. Thuluth and Naskh are 2 of the most important styles in Islamic calligraphy. The style Nasta'liq is used to write literature and non-Koranic works in Persian language.

Its unique character developed as a result of its geography at the confluence of various European regions. Wycinanki in Poland is a Slavic version of the art form of papercutting, also popular in Belarus and Ukraine. The Polish patterns became popular folk craft in the mid-1800s. Originally it was made ​​with barks of trees and colorful leather. The designs and colors vary from region to region and can also be monochrome those of “Kurpie“. Patterns can be made ​​with many kinds of materials and techniques. From images of the polish patterns and items, we can see common features from which we can conclude that the geometrical symmetry, shape, many different colors and the mirror effect are part of typical Polish patterns.

Croatian wattle is one of the most used patterns of pre-romanesque Croatian art. Most representative examples of inscriptions embellished with the interlace include the Baška tablet and the Branimir Inscription.

Bright and vibrant colours are often used to depict and differentiate feelings or events and even clothing styles. Traditional clothing is usually layered meaning that people wear a lot of different colored scarves and vests and very often large hats. The color red is almost always present. A celebration which is the most popular in Mexico called The Day Of The Dead where masks and costumes are often used to celebrate a national holiday and a religious event. Flowers and floral motives are quite popular aswell making appearances in both hairstyles, clothing and paintings.

The Mayas wee a civilization who focused on many points of interest such as agriculture, pottery, hieroglyph writing, calendar-making and mathematics. They left behind a huge amount of architecture and symbolic artwork which still astonishes and impresses the modern day society.

Mayan calendar
One of the many culturaly significant  Mayan acomplishments is the Mayan Calendar. Mayan calendar is a system of writing  glyptic symbols was developed and was used on buildings, stele, artifacts and books. They also developed a more complicated system that included a  “long-count” that was used to keep track of time by using different units that range in length from a single day to millions of years. This caused many to believe that the Mayans could predict the future

The result is a complex cultural mixture very different from the original indigenous cultures.

[Pic 1]
The most typical one is a star or a snowflake like pattern together with a zig-zag pattern, as well as the pattern of a deer or actually moose - one of the most common animals in the forests of Scandinavia. [Pic 2] & [Pic 3]
However there were also folk-like patterns with flowers that were used in the traditional wear of the Scandinavian countries. [Pic 4]
 Each one of course has a different one.

Dingo - The dingo, a type of wild dog, appeared in Australia only 3,000–5,000 years ago, which postdates the time that Aboriginal people began hafting small stone implements into composite tools some 8,000 years ago. Naturalistic art style. Man spearing a kangaroo, Kimberly  - There is an enormous variety in the styles of Aboriginal art, with both regional variations and a time depth, where for each region, the styles have varied as one goes back in time. For example, studies of Kimberley (north Western Australia) and Kakadu (in the Northern Territory) rock art show many evolving styles dating back tens of thousands of years .

 Non-naturalistic art style. Traditional Central Australian art. - Australian school teacher encouraged the old men of the tribe to record their art on European sheets of board, using acrylic paints. This use of acrylic paints on flat board dates from that time. However, the art style itself, with geometric designs, is seen in the petroglyphs (rock engravings) dating back thousands of years.
