  • Every 1 out of 10 teens report using prescription pain medications to get high at least once a year.
  • Many people, including teens, end up accidentally using fentanyl after buying fentanyl-laced heroin or a fake prescription drug that contains fentanyl.
  • Fentanyl is also being sold as a counterfeit Oxycontin, Xanax, and other prescription drugs.
  • Since most of the time teens don't know what they bought or are using, they could easily overdose, causing them to injure themselves, or in the worst case, kill themselves.
