International students seem very keen on Quillbot and advise their new peers to use it. I don't know if Home students use this tool or are more likely to use Grammarly. The fondness for Quillbot worries me as the tool was initially designed to help students 'beat Turnitin' and the parent company Learneo reserves the right to post student uploads on its other sites, e.g. CourseHero https://www.learneo.com/legal/privacy-policy

It's so hard for teachers to keep up to date with the capabilities of various GenAI tools - all the more so if students are using tools in other languages. E.g. it's harder for a non-Chinese speaker to experiment with Chinese-developed tools
